As I have walked out the journey that God has put before me, I have seen many people go in and out of my life. I have learned that is isn't really necessary to "burn" bridges since we are all trying to get to the same destination. I have walked through the valley of bitterness and I am glad to be "through" that stage of my life. Thanks be to God....

I have learned, however, that I must set certain boundaries in my life for my spiritual well being. It is sometimes easy to mistake boundaries for bitterness. But I have learned that I must guard my heart. I must guard the precious anointing that I have paid such a heavy price for.

There are those that would abuse and misuse that anointing because they did not pay the price for it. So, even though I don't burn many bridges, I understand that some relationships are not healthy for me spiritually. Some relationships are not healthy for me emotionally. Some relationships are not healthy for me financially.

I have to be very discerning as to how close I let certain people into my life. I used to open my heart to everyone. That was very unwise on my part. The older I get and the more experience I get, I see that I can love everybody, yet be sure to keep my relationships healthy.

When is the last time you evaluated your relationships? Do you have proper boundaries in place? These are the questions you must ask yourself.

There are some I used to be very close to, but now I keep a healthy distance because I don't allow people that continually hurt me to be close to me. That is a healthy relationship. Do I hate those people? Absolutely not! I love them dearly! But I am smart enough to not get burned by the same people over and over!!!

Without boundaries there is no direction. Rivers need banks to keep the flow going in the right direction and to keep the power behind the flow of the water! Without boundaries a river is just a swamp!!! And a swamp is muddy, stinky, stale, and full of dangerous creatures!!!!!

You have a destiny to fulfill! Do not allow others to dictate your direction. Evaluate your relationships and implement your boundaries.

There are those that are meant to be a part of your destiny, and there are others who are only supposed to be a part of your past.......
